Knowing a relaxing cup of herbal tea is always welcomed during our mid-day slump but did you know that same cup can help benefit our overall wellbeing?
Herbs have been used and studied for millennia. Each herb contains active compounds that can help support our nerves after a stressful day or help ease us to sleep on a restless night.
A common herb known to many is lemon balm. Lemon balm is also known by the name Melissa. Melissa derived from the herbs botanical name.
Lemon balm is known for its potential properties that help reduce stress and promote relaxation.
According to research, in 1789 The Edinburg Dispensatory states "So high an opinion have some of the chemist entertained of balm, that they have expected to find in it a medicine which should prolong life beyond the usual period."
Lemon balm is easily identified by its lemon scented leaves.
